Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
You’re trusting us with sensitive information, so this policy is written to be read — not skimmed past. The short version: we collect the minimum we need, we use it only to provide the service, and we never sell it.
1. What we collect
We collect your contact information (name, email address, phone number, date of birth), your state, the type of placard you’re applying for, and your application answers. Application answers are stored as standardized condition codes — checkbox selections from a fixed list — not free-text descriptions of your symptoms. We deliberately avoid collecting written health narratives on this site; your checkbox answers are all we need to review and prepare your application.
Payment card details are handled by our payment processor and never touch our servers.
2. How we use it
Your information is used solely for application review and preparation: processing your application, reviewing it against your state’s requirements, preparing your paperwork, updating you on your order, and responding to your support requests. We never sell your information, and we never share it for third-party marketing. Period.
3. Storage and security
Your data is encrypted at rest and in transit, and access is restricted to the systems and staff who need it to serve your order. Administrative access is logged and role-based. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat your application data with the care health-adjacent information deserves.
4. What our emails contain
The emails we send you — order confirmations, status updates, dashboard sign-in links — reference your order number and status, never your health details. We ask you to do the same when writing to us: include your order number, not medical information.
5. How long we keep it
We keep order records for as long as needed to provide the service, support renewals, and meet legal and accounting obligations. Incomplete applications that are never finished are periodically archived and deleted. You can request earlier deletion at any time (see below).
6. Your rights
You can request a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email support@handicapparking.org from the address on your order and we’ll verify your identity and act on the request. Some records (for example, proof a refund was issued) may need to be retained where the law requires it — we’ll tell you if that applies.
7. Cookies and analytics
We use a small number of first-party cookies: a session cookie that keeps you signed in to your dashboard, and a resume cookie that lets you pick up a half-finished application where you left off. Our analytics are first-party and used to understand how the site performs — we don’t run third-party ad trackers on your application.
8. Changes to this policy
If we make meaningful changes, we’ll update the date at the top of this page, and for significant changes we’ll notify you by email.
9. Contact
Privacy questions or requests: email support@handicapparking.org or use our contact page.
